On February 8, I was a guest on Jackie B Peterson's weekly show on Solo Pro Radio. I've never been on the radio before, but it was a hoot, and Jackie is always a delight to talk to. We spent the first half talking about the I Heart Art: Portland project which I co-chair—how it started, the effect that it's had on the community, and how others can get involved in similar projects wherever they live. The second half was focused on the Ambidextrous Brain, its origins, and my philosophy about the power to be harnessed by leveraging both right- and left-brain thinking.

Notes from the Show
In the second half of the show, I mentioned the book The Gift: Creativity and the Artist in the Modern World by Lewis Hyde. I've mentioned it before in my Connecting to Your Community series, but it's worth mentioning again—it could change your life.
Another book that ties into ambidextrous thinking is Daniel Pink's A Whole New Mind. Dan writes about the growing need for creative thinking in the business world and its importance in the future of the workforce.
If you're interested in starting a community program where you live, or want to know more about how you can embrace both halves of your brain for creative business success, contact me. I'd love to hear from you!
Jackie's weekly show airs on W4WN Internet Radio, Wednesdays at 10:00 am Pacific time.
